Dammit dammit dammit. A few weeks ago I noticed that some cigars I got from a trade had black residue at the bottom of the cellophane. I quarantined all of the cigars in a baggie and put that outside of my humi. They were cheap smokes so I didn't care if they dried out. Well just now I got curious and cut one open and it is confirmed they are infected. The inside is all eaten up and there are holes in the filler tobacco. So into the fridge and freezer my whole collection will go but I have to leave in 15 minutes to head out of town and will not be back until Monday night. This is most depressing.

Edit: Looks like I am going to run by the store here in a little and get some baggies and quickly baggie them up and stick them in the fridge. They will just be in the fridge for a few days but that is a hell of alot better than sitting my house that is 79 degrees.

Here is my method:

Triple Freezer Bag all cigars (suck out air with a straw).

Fridge for 24 hours
Deep Freeze 10 Degree F for 2 days
Fridge for 24 hours

Room Temp for 12 hours (before back in the humidor)
What he said. Just make sureto use heavy ply plastic and be careful not to crush the cigars.

I've Decided that I will not put any cigars from any other b&m in my savoy. I will put them in a separate humidor.

I have put them in three gallon freezer bags.
