Well we just found out that this is going to be a long one. My wife's cervix still needs to get ready. The medicine they gave her is to help with that. They told us that the baby may be here by tomorrow night. Please keep my wife & daughter in your prayers.

Push hard Dana. If done by tonight the baby and I will have the same birthday.

Ok, well no baby yet. We both got some sporadic sleep last night. The doc will be in around five to check out everything & let us know where we stand.

The doc just came in & checked out the wife. The meds didn't do anything for her cervix at all. They are going to try it again. It takes 12 hours. It's gonna be a long one.

Why not a C-section? That's what my wife did (under Dr orders), we went to the hospital around 7am and were parents by 10:05am.

The doctors want her to do it natural. If this round of meds doesn't take we are doing a c-section.

Holy crap man...that kid doesn't want to come out! Must be smoking a massive cigar in there or somethin' :grin:. Best wishes to the wife, I know by now mine would have grabbed the doc by the balls and said cut me you SOB!

Well they are giving her something to make her sleep. Tomorrow we are making just one more try at inducing natural child birth. She is having regular contractions now. She is in a lot of pain & we are both exhausted. My work was nice enough to extend my paternity leave with pay for me. And I just got both of the raises I was waiting on the day before my wife was admitted to the hospital. I've been geting a bit of sleep where & when I can. We both want to say thank you to all of you for keeping us in your thoughts & prayers!
