Never tried the SDC #1, but I have a few #2's from 98 I picked up a while ago. They are very, very, good. Did I mention very?

Funny you should post this. Just had my first on last night and these DO NOT SUCK!
They are rich, complex, smooth, and have a ton of finish.

Buy all you can find.

P.S. I have heard others complain of construction issues, but I think that can be the case with any lancero.
