I go out there a lot. I have a few friends that live in the city and I will go out to see them, have dinner and hit the clubs. Coming from where I live in CT its around a 3 hour ride with traffic.

I enjoy the city, some times you get to see a nice freak show. The last time we were out there, there was a 300 lb man in a pink balarina outfit, running around with a wand and praising god. I had to laugh.

This sounds like a good idea. I think I will be out there again soon. Who else is in on this idea? Course the trick is being able to find somewhere in NY that lets you smoke. Didn't like the WHOLE state go no smoking? :smokingbo

Lived in Queens for 10 years before moving out to Long Island. Everyone that lives outside of NYC only thinks about Manhattan when thinking about NYC, there's so much more. Every place has strong and weak points. For me, the cultural benefits are tremendous, although I don't take advantage of them like I used to do.

Tripp, that was a couple years ago, you haven't paid that second mortgage off yet for that taxi ride???? :laugh: Wish you could have stayed longer!

I had a great time and only got to stay one night. I want t o plan a long weekend to NYC sometime. Southwest has dirt cheap fares from Louisville to Long Island.

The MTV commercials??? I can't stand those, I'm not a fan of cigarettes either, but those commericials are so damn annoying.

Yep. Yell at us with bullhorns and list the number of people dying from smoking. Made it real hard to get the limo through sometimes.

New York was great place to work for a limited time. I could see how you would burn out quickly.
