I figured I might as well go ahead and introduce myself after lurking around here for a bit...

I have been smoking cigars for a couple of years now. I like to think that I have a fair handle on the art of cigars but am smart enough to know that you never know it all  I currently have two humidors that are basically full... a 160ct Diamond Crown and a 50ct cheapo. You can probably guess the better stuff goes into the Crown and the cheap stuff... well... you get the picture

I am just about ready to dive into the world of Wine-a-dors. I am having a heckuva time trying to maintain both the temp and humidity in my humis and was searching out a better way. In fact my searches for info on this is what brought me here and set me to lurking and asking questions. I have pretty much narrowed what I want down to either a Vinotemp 28 or I was thinking of trying one of the Newair 28's that look just like a Vinotemp.

My preference is med-full bodied smokes with an occasional mild one thrown it for a change (for instance Rocky Patel Connecticut or Oliva Connecticut Reserve). Some of my favs right now are: Liga Privada No. 9 (just bought a box), Nestor Miranda Special Selection, Cohiba XV, Hoyo de Monterrey Excalibur Maduro (as well as other Hoyos), and Joya de Nicaragua Cabinetta to name a few. I am always on the hunt for that ever elusive cheap knock around cigar that tastes good. I've got some of the Reposado Maduro from CI ($100 for 40) that aren't too bad... nice to keep around for hand outs and yard gars.

See ya around the forums!!

Larry
welcome, the Reposado connies are pretty good as well. The maduro has a ton of flavor though, I had one a couple of nights ago and couldn't smoke the whole thing, it was like it was too rich.

That is what I like about them. They are not a complex cigar by any means but are fairly tasty. That's about all you can ask for a $2.50 cigar I guess
