How full does a humidor need to be? Heres my problem. Im looking at building a cabinet humidor. I figured a couple shelves for boxes but mostly drawers for sticks. I really dont know how to calculate how many cigars itll hold but i was thinking something around 2 ft wide, 2 ft deep and 4 ft tall on top of a base with a drawer or two for accessories. This seems like the size of something retailers would call 1000 ct or so. I dont think ill ever need to keep 1000 cigars on hand and of course the cost of filling it is a concern as well. I thought i remembered reading that you should have at least 3/4 capacity in there for it to stabilize humidity wise. Is there any truth to that? If thats what I need to do i may be scrapping the whole idea and buying an end table piece that holds 600 or so.
