How to check if your CC box is fake

Supposedly there is a code number on every box of CC's located on the government seal. It can be entered into an online database to check if the box is real. Here is the link to the database http://www.habanos.com/en/verificacion-de-autenticidad/

I don't have any CC boxes that are recent so I am curious what the database tells you when you enter a valid code.

Used it before seems to work, but that doesn't stop the box to be reused or someone just copying the box codes.

you will get the marca and vitola per the serial #.
when the site works.
vendors are more important than stickers................

Guy sends me info on a sealed box of Behike 54 he's trying to sell me. These are the pics he sends.

After entering the barcode in the above link, they turn out to be legit.

He then says he got 2 boxes of them "directly from the factory" and ones opened he's smoking now. I say send me a pic of it and he sends this.

This is obviously NOT a authentic Behike. So now I'm not convinced that either he purchased fakes or one box is legit. Lol what do you think?

No but I also have not seen prices go UP artificially like this either. Since it was an "act of god" that made them go up, as soon as this leaf becomes available again and Habanos is selling BHK the prices will naturally come down with demand, as supply increases from zero.

I've come to the conclusion that if you don't physically fly there and inspect yourself, or know of a reputable source vouched for, it's a great possibility it's fake. Craigs-FB-random sites- most likely fake??. Even guys I know locally who fly over there say why pay for the real when a fake is cheap and still Cuban! Wth...that doesn't interest me. I just don't enjoy fake, maybe some do. I could be wrong as I don't know much. I'm just stepping into the Cc game now as I've plundered enough in the Sc and just love a good cc from the few I've had recently.

I've been given some with a humidor purchase for free as a gift with it. The gentleman never even told me until it was packed up and he loaded it and said I left you a few sticks in there to enjoy. I believe they are all authentic from I can research and this guy was a class act. But man oh man S. Fla is rampant with fakes, fake everything!

It can tell you the box is real, it tells you nothing about the cigars inside it.
You can buy empty Cuban cigar boxes online.
