I thought I did... but then if the box has been opened from them to check that it is OK...

Leave that thought there.
Yeah, the open box thing can lead to concerns. But all vendors who ship internationally do it in my experience.
That said, any vendor worth trusting would most likely not do it upon request on sticks they've just got in.
Obviously the problem for them is if they don't do any QC before shipment, they run the risk of sending you moldy or beetle ridden cigars.

Dude. BHK prices are not up like this, out of Habanos. They're u0p because of the lack of supply, on the secondary market.
Do you think people would be paying $70 a stick on OLH if they could get them from Habanos for $35?
Maybe you're saying you don't think Cuba can recover agriculturally from the bad weather that caused the lack of Medio Tiempo? If that's the case, please lend me your crystal ball :)

$70? They are about 58.

Im just saying, there really isn't history of Cohiba prices going down based on what i could research.

Cohiba on its will not be going down in price IMO. All the other marcas remain fairly priced tho.

In order for price to drop, demand will have to go down. And demand for Cohiba will not go down anytime soon.

I have seen no evidence that Habanos has raised BHK prices. The prices people are paying ($58... $70... whatever...) are secondary market prices. There's no indication that Habanos is going to raise BHK prices to match the secondary market -- something they have never done.

This means that BHK are being sold -- when they are being sold -- from Habanos dealers, at normal prices (or very close to it). The gouging is happening from people who buy a box at $400 and flip it for $800 and dumbasses pay it.
