I only ran my wine cooler when the average temp in the house goes over 70 degrees. Other than that all I ever did was keep two bowls of beads one low in the unit and one higher up in the unit. The CPU fans are really important for air circulation, you need to mix up the air evey once and a while.
The biggest question for you wine cooler guys, how full is your wine cooler? How many boxes are in you wine cooler? In order for you wine cooler to maintain 65% humidity you must keep that cooler full of cigar boxes!!!!
If you have a huge 28 bottle wine cooler and 2 boxes of cigars sitting in it, you will never get good humidity levels. Go out and buy a bunch nice looking empty boxes from your B&M and fill that wine cooler tothe max, then as you buy more boxes remove the empty one. By keeping the wine cooler full, it maintaines humidity much better.
You will see over a month or so a much more stable envoirment for you cigars.
