All sanded up, gonna play with some scrap material and see how I want to finish it, I'd really like to age the crap out of it, but it looks way too dam pretty right now, lol. I'd like some input from y'all, make it look 100 years old, or brand damn new???
While searching for the best deal on Spanish cedar this morning, I kept coming across references saying that Honduran mahogany is equally as good if not better then spanish cedar for the lining of a humidor, it weighs more, but regulates humidity the same. And I just happened to have a few hundred board feet of it in storage for the last 5 or 6 years..... So I cut up a bunch of scraps today, and pieced the interior together. I'm going for a rough, unrefined, 100 year old working mans humidor. It's shaping up nicely.
Amazing job brother. I have been working on doing hand made dovetails so I can make storage in my mini fridge. I need to practice more. I love seeing someone with actual ability do woodworking.
Thanks brother, I really appreciate it when people like what I do. It's a passion, that happens to be what I do for a living. If you ever need any help with jigs or anything, let me know.
