So what’s the deal with these Hybrid Irons? I like how they feel, but why can’t you get a full set? Do I need a full set or do you just get the 3-5? I have seen the Nike set that has then from 2-7, but they are $150 a club. There are some good clearance deals at a store nearby. Like $30 per club for the 4 &5. maybe I just buy 1 and see how I like it.

If you are just getting started, go with a cavity back set. Calaway makes a nice set and Taylor Made is great. But thats my .02.

I have some decent clubs, i just want to know where the Hybrids fit in and what they would replace. I'm just starting, but have years of sporatic lessons, and can acctually hit fairly well,m I just don't know about all this new stuff that's out there.

Nothing to do with hybrids, but I don't want to start a new thread.

I got a couple of tips from a guy at work yesterday before going to the driving range. I only needed a little tweek to my swing and HOLY SH!T that little ball disappeared. I put a coupl off the back net. Granted this is a short driving range, but I was hitting about 20 feet up on the net which is 250 yds away. I couldn't believe I was capable of hitting this far. I figured to get that kind of distance I would need new clubs, lessons, and a year of practice. I owe this guy a lunch.

Sweet, good job Dave. Sometimes all it takes is a very small change in the procedure. Tempo, grip and alignment all make for pure shot making.
