I agree with Gibble. If it is stuck leave it to the bitter end and the heat will loosen the glue and it comes right off. No need to ruin a fine cigar

I don't touch the band until it's about to get burned. By then the heat has loosened up the glue and it comes off with easy. It seems to be the case at least 95% of time for me.

I take the band off it it is loosely rotating around the cigar or sliding. Other then that I leave it on till the cigar heats it up.

No not pointless. I agree the worst one I would say is the Tatuaje Noella. It is paper with no laminate so the glue really sticks to it. I like to keep the bands but the Noella was ruined.

i always take the band off before i even cut my cigar. its a habit i just got into. if the band is stubborn i wont force it I just let the heat do the work.
