Glad you're ok. Each situation is different. I have a good friend who handed over his wallet and the guy shot him anyway. He offered no resistance, the guy just shot him. He lived but took almost a year to recover.

Bro, that's like trying to second guess a crash landing that you walked away from. If the exact same thing happens ten times, you could have ten different endings (not all happy). Just be glad that everything worked out good. You're still intact and healthy. Pray that there won't be a next time.

Thanks guys and (gals?)for the kind words. My family and I thanks you for the well wishes. I'm at peace with my choice and I just hope this guy dosen't try it again to anyone else. Now I just need to figure out a way to tell my parents without giving my Mother a heart attack.

I have been in the same situation and its fricken scarry.
I got robbed at work when i was working at a local drug store.
It was like my first week there and i could not believe that it happened.
my manager nearly got fired because they didn't have the camera's over the registers on to catch what was going on.

I recomend talking to a profesional like I did it really help out with the stress and reduces the chance of any mental damage in the future. but that just my .02 of what I did.

I know exactly how you feel about telling your parents.. if you want to talk then Pm me and I will be more than happy to share my experience with you... the guy that put a gun in my mouth is in jail, actually had to go to court monday for this...

turns out he killed somebody 3 days later for the exact same thing that I did... not give him what he wanted... No matter what, you did the right thing because you are here to talk about it...



as Far as carrying, good thing i was not at the time, because little did i know there was somebody at my other window, if i would have pulled it i would have caught one in the back of the head...
