Here is my review, keep in mind this is my first review:
Storage was in my humidor at 65% RH for 3 days before smoking after about a week in transit from CT -> Tx.
I smoked this cigar after south park wednesday, I put the cigar with my Palio cutter, I was expecting a nice strong pre-light draw from this but I didn't get that much taste at all. The pre-light draw did remind me of wood with a semi card-board smell.
I lit this with my Vector table top lighter
1/3 - very smooth slight coffee taste with some hazlenut. Uneven burn during the first couple of minutes which required some touch ups. The body of the smoke was very light but did produce a lot of smoke. The draw was extremely effortless
2/3 - The same flavor from the first 1/3 was still present now I started to get a taste of leather and sweetness, resembling a caramel taste. Towards the end of the 2/3 a slight spice started to show up with a ginger taste but not quick at spicy as black pepper. The cigar started to get a little creamy but not much.
3/3 - The The same flavors were present and everything was starting to mellow, I was hoping that at this point the spice was going to pick up. The draw was still smooth and effortless and the body was slight light.
Overall impressions: While this cigar did produce copious amounts of smoke with an easy draw, I was hoping for something a little more complex. I'm not a typical maduro smoker as it is so maybe I was just expecting something a little different. Overall it reminded me of something CAO would put out.
Here is what it turned out to be.
