I tend to agree with this. My greatest passion is firearms. While I love my Glocks, XDs, and M&Ps, and I will always own them. The price of one is about 1/6 of what my Wilson Combat 1911 cost. It was well worth it too. In the end, it's the little differences that make the biggest difference imo. So yes, I could own a handful of Glocks for that price, but I would rather have my one beautiful piece of art.
haha that happens to be one of my other passions. One AR lead to another and before you know it I have a full customized bench AR and a 6.8 SPC AR. I happen to be a SIG and H&K guy when it comes to pistols, although I must say the XD is an amazing piece if you put some work into it.

I dont know how you do it, the price of 6.8 SPC ammo alone is enough to make me want to keel over. More power to you man.
yea its about .90-$1 a round so yea you grab ankles any time you touch it off. Thats mostly my home defense gun along with the Saiga monster because it has a pretty tactical set up.

I'm definitely guilty of blind-buying a couple of boxes of cigars, but the most I paid was $65 for one of them.

But yeah, I have been burned by one or two - one of them wasn't a box, but a bundle of 20 cigars. It was only $24.99, but still, it's something I regret.

I'm still at that stage where I'm trying to smoke as many different types of cigars as possible to determine what I'm willing to spend a good chunk of money on for a box.
I have blind bought a coupel of boxes. But they were either from a Blender I knew I would like (AJ) or from a Brand I knew that was reputable (Oliva, Nub). In both cases if I figured if I didnt like them(they werent to my tastes), they would still be good quality smokes(that were fro someone elses tastes) and I would be able to unload them to fellow BOTL that liked those lines.

I think that makes sense.

Yeah that's what I did the last time.

I blind-bought a box of Augusto Reyes. I figure even if they aren't to my taste, AR is a good, reputable company so I can deal them out in bombs. :)

Have yet to try one, though. They've only been in my humidor for a week and I like to give sticks at least 10-14 days' rest before trying one.

I don't smoke enough to really justify buying cheap sticks. I would much rather smoke less often and smoke a wonderful stick than smoke multiple a day and smoke mediocre sticks.

I guess it all depends on how much you smoke really. I enjoy smoking a few times a week, but between school and work, I don't really have much time. So I'll stick with my LP's and Tat for now. :)

Agreed for sure, but this is also where personal taste comes in.

To be honest, I wasn't overly wow'd by the LP No. 9. It was good for sure, but I've had better sticks and at cheaper price tags.

I'd honestly take a La Aroma de Cuba E.E. over the No. 9 any day of the week, and it's like half the price.
