Read in the CA archives that around 100 years ago 4 out of 5 American men smoked cigars...In other words there used to be a time when people would probably look at you funny if you WEREN'T smoking.

Well times have changed obviously, and now it's trendy to act "offended" by smoking. You and I both know it's just that some people need that extra little bit of attention they get by being "offended" by this or that. Smokers are a great target (especially cigar smokers) because the imposition upon us is supported by mass media and therefore the culture of brainwashed drones who surround us.

I've also noticed for some time now that most TV and movies with a historical context tend to imply that smoking has ALWAYS been an unpopular annoyance with the majority, which is simply not true.

There is a reason why most airplanes still have tiny ashtrays in the arm rests...

We were watching a classic movie the other day and some guy was changing a baby's diaper with a cigar in his mouth in a small apartment. How things change...LMAO...I told the old lady, child protective services would bust your doors down these days.

I too hate it when places allow cigarettes but not cigars--makes no sense at all.

But in those situations, you can almost always get away with it if you're smoking petites. If asked, just tell them it's a special imported stick from Nicaragua or whereever (which would be true).
