As a salesman myself, I enjoy the Ron Popieil commercials. And I do own the showtime rotisserary oven.:grinFU:

The first company I ever worked for in sales was owned by 2 brothers with limited knowledge of selling or people. One suggestion at a managers meeting was have us tell our salespeople to watch QVC for pointers.
See how excited they were about selling shit.

The first and last product I bought from an infomercial was the Hand-Hammered Wok of China. I still have it and cook with it often, 'bout 15 years later. In fact, just this last Saturday, I made Cashew Chicken with it.

But wait, does QVC count as an infomercial? I've purchased just two items from them. Last one was a great deal on Reed & Barton flatware.

My mother purchased the chopper when it was first introduce back in 19-odd-six and to date she still uses that damn thing. I bought her a couple of the newer ones and they have all broken within a month, but that red plastic and metal choppers is still alive and kicking.

I personally purchased the pancake maker, the one that were 2 pans or skillets that you just flipped over when needed. What a piece of crap that was. The damm pancake batter would spill out between the pans :cursing: . I did not need to purchase that thing to accomplish a mess, I was perfectly capable of doing it my self.

Well, there was this knife show and he had "Santa's Super Sack of Savings" which represented 99 knives for $99.00. I got swords, pocket folders. Not great stuff but fun.

Just once. I bought a rechargeable vacuum cleaner called the LaserVac or something like that. Got three of them for the price of one supposedly. I figured I'd keep one upstairs and one downstairs and they'd be good for a quick pick up of dog hair, bird dander, woodstove ash and stuff. Darn things wouldn't suck up a gnat and the battery lasted about two minutes. I still have them in the back of one of my closets.

Nope, although I don't even need to see much of an infomercial to tell you what the product is, does, and how it will change your life. I've tried to be a salesman so many times it's ridiculous. I just can't stand being so falsely happy and supposedly just from this product.
