Congrats to you. I thought I'd take a page out of your book and try it myself.
So, about 3 minutes ago I told my wife that next time I have a cigar, maybe she'd like to try one. I told her I have some girly flavored ones. Next thing I know... "Are you out of your mind? I'm not going smoke a CIGAR! I can't even stand the smell of it! Why would......blah blah blah blah blah......." :wifey:

Oh HELL yes! I was hoping she'd prefer the Oliva's over the Acids, but if she likes either it works out well for you.

Glad to hear that she's taking to the cigars! Now tell me, what did YOU think of the 5 Vegas Classic?

Cheers,
Jeremy
Yeah, good call on the Oliva's. I'm glad she liked those too. She suggested that she might like something with bold flavors...so, she's getting a Tatuaje Havana VI Verocu #5 next.

I really enjoyed the 5 Vegas. It has great flavors, easy draw, even burn. I really liked it. I'll have to explore more of that line.

So after the A$$ breath comment how did she feel the next day?
After taking some time off I find that I have a cigar 'hangover' the next morning.
Along w\ the bad breath, I have hangover symptoms.
She didn't really have any effects of the cigar that she could notice...But, after a bottle of wine and a few rum drinks, I think she was feeling the effects of that more than the cigars.

Ouch! Sorry to hear that. Maybe now that you planted the thought, she'll come around to the suggestion at some point. But, it could be a good thing too...my wife's cigar budget will be cutting into my budget.

I think that my favorite part was that she didn't pick the acid as her favorite.

I'm on the verge of creating my own monster. My girlfriend loves my sticks when she try's them too; the last time I smoked with her I had a Serie O which she liked a lot. She says that she wants to go to the lounge with me and try a cigar all for herself.:awholelot
Awesome!! Let us know how it goes.

My gf used to smoke cigars on occasion with me so I always kept a few little flavored ones on hand for her. But she's been trying really hard to quit smoking cigarettes so we've decided that for now it would be best if she doesn't put anything in her mouth that produces smoke. She's doing really well.

Glad to hear brother! Mutual interest but different taste...For right now??...Sheesh, after a while she may want to take on the big boys. She reminds me of mine, my wife can throw back the wine & she has a thing for the rum & coke as well as me. She smoked a cigar with me one two occasions but she says she doesn't want to make a habit of it.
Nice story brother!

I understand that its good to get new smokers. I am single at the moment, so my thought might be wrong. But isnt smoking cigars kinda like golf dont you married folk use it to get away from the wife?
I'm with Hawgmauler, my wife's my best friend as well! I love spending time with her. I'm away from her enough with work. IMHO, why marry someone you feel you need time away from in addition to 40 hrs a week? Maybe I'm just blessed with a wonderful wife! Now, if I could get her to smoke a cigar... lol I guess I won't push it!

Congrats mauler, that rocks! When is she joining BOTL?

It's nice to have a significant other who not only approves of your hobby, but partakes as well. Bodes well for your relationship, I think.

That was a great read!

That's so awesome that you two have this love in common. I (like many others here) smoke cigars despite my fiancee's wishing I wouldn't.

I finally got mine to try something other than the Black and Mild wine flavored dog rockets she likes.....she really digs the illusione 68. We'll try some others as well, but at least those nasty wine things are gone. Think I'll have her try a La Ricky next.
