I can't make a great comparison because I've only had 1 L40 but I do prefer the BOTL12, it is a great smoke. Glad I was able to score some.

I agree i feel like there just aren't enough options in the smaller ring gauges and smaller cigars in general. I just can't get excited about many cigars that are any bigger than 52/54 or longer than 6".

I've only had a pre-release of the L40, can't find them anywhere. I have one of the regulars, though, so I'm looking forward to that.

The next batch of L40s are not currently slated for release until early 2013 - their production was halted for nearly a year due to wrapper tobacco not being ready.

I doubt anyone has these in stock for purchase at this time.
