Mmmmm...yeah...apparently! I dunno, there's this mass proliferation on forums these days of abbreviating most everything. In my opinion, it's gotten way out of hand. Hell, if you want everybody to understand what you're writing, why not just write it out, with the exception of commonly accepted abbreviations? Like "ave." for 'avenue'...
'ld' has never been a universally accepted abbreviation for 'Labor Day', in my observation, and how would anybody get 'herf' from 'churf'?
