Aah, so that's what a wineador is? Should have known, didn't think they would do anything but chill things.

They also heat up? I guess there's a setting to store wine at room temperature? Somebody explain it for my pea brain, please.

Yes.
No heating up.
"off" setting would be room temperature.

Very "our of the box" way to use it. Are there some btr than others or as long as it keeps a seal?

Certain types you can't use.... Compression cooling sucks put all the humidity if.I recall correctly

You can use a compressor unit as long as you use a temp control system or if it's a cool place you can leave it unplugged. See above. Winecoolers didn't work for me cause my house got too hot and made the unit constantly run and that sucked up my humidity and created condensation. This mini fridge is better insulated and holds the temp better than my old winecooler did, this mini fridge is now in my garage and on hot days it still hold temp just fine.
