Not sure as to the date but it is a 6x60 in the shape of the original Flying Pig. No idea to cost. My guess would be around $14-$16.
Wow, those things sound huge! Does anyone have any pre-production pictures, or are they still hush-hush and being tweeked by JD?

Edit: Found a photo over at Cigar Feed. Those things are freaking giant.

I don't care how big it is, if it tastes like the LP No. 9 Flying pig, then I will buy box after box.

The LP no.9 Flying Pig is, bar none, my favorite smoke ever.
I love them too. I love how much LP has evolved over the last two years, they different blends they are trying out, the different sizes, the different lines, but I sometime wish they would do a Liga Privada No. 9 Flying Pig Redux and revisit that stick. It is my top 3 all time for sticks, and sadly, I only have one left.

I only have one too... I was considering an ISO, but the price would be too much (if I even found some!)

There are a ton of great, regular production NC's that are cheaper. I'll just smoke those and pray the pigs become regular production

I just bombed our staff assistant at work with a Dirty Rat. I smoked a LP #9 that I wasn't wild about a couple months back, but I am loving the Rats and need to check out more of these cigars.

Ladies & Fellaz,

Hope that everyone is doing well. I just flew to Chicago airport, following my event in Wisconsin. About to head to Steve Saka's house in New England somewhere, as His Prezidency is picking me up at the Boston Airport much later. I'm taking this opportunity to mention that we will both be attending the TWO GUYS SMOKE SHOP event with the 70 inch television(s) giveaway(s).

I am hoping that we have some of the Ferel Flying Pigs there, but am not sure quite honestly. I was reading the thread above and wanted to clarify a few things. The first being that the size is the same as the Reg Fling Pig, just longer. Secondly, The Ferel has the same Broadleaf Capa as the No.9, not the Stalk Cut Habano. Finally, the blend was complete a long time ago and the cigars are just finishing the aging necessary - and they are quite strong.

Now, I'm hoping to see some of you at the TWO GUYS SMOKE SHOP this Saturday. Saka and I will be at the same one, even though the special promotion is at all three. To be honest, I forget which one we are at, but if you call they will inform you.

Again, as always, please introduce yourself if your BOTL. If your not BOTL, then get the he'll out of the building ... Just kidding !!!

All the best and stop by if ya can. Hopefully Saka has some Ferel Pig or Lanceros or Undercrown or something nifty.

You need to hit that #9 again. It's in my top 5 sticks. I remember having my first T-52 and saying I will never buy another because it's just OK. Dude at the B&M told me I needed to revisit it as he thought the same thing and has changed his mind. I smoked another T-52 and have been through at least a box since. It's also in my top 5 cigars. Only bummer is trying to find either of these on the shelf. I now hoard the ones I have left in my cooler along side some LTD cigars that I just save for very special ocassions knowing I won't ever have the chance to smoke another. With all this talk I just decided on my first cigar after work. LP9.

I agree that anyone who didn't care for the #9 should retry it. I'll just add the caveat I always do: this becomes a different cigar after a year or more of age. When fresh, (and I've had a dozen or so fresh), the LP#9 is very good, but to me doesn't distinguish itself much from the La Riqueza or other Broadleaf cigars. But after a year, the flavors come out in spades and the LP#9 becomes a unique and wonderful experience (Top 10 for me).

Though I love the Toro, I agree that the Flying Pig was the best #9 size ever (I only have 1-2 left). I'll be buying a box of Ferral Pig even though I don't usually have time for big cigars, because I'm sure they'll be great.

The last 2 aged Toros I had (18-months) were very similar to how the Flying Pigs are smoking now (the FPs have lost a decent amount of the spice they had originally, but all the flavor is still there).

Just to give everyone an update, JD did replace the 3 T9's that I had issues with and threw in a few extra things. I posted the thread in the Bomber's Basement section since he completely leveled me! Here's my post:

JD and DE are shining examples of what is good and right about this business. I know I've said it before, but all companies need to look at the cigar industry for examples of what customer service really means! Thank you again JD!!!!
