Sorry to hear the news. Not an easy thing to deal with but at least he's in a better place now. My prayers go out to you and your family. Your dad is probably smoking a cigar as we speak, looking down at you with a smile. Sounds like he was a good man and sounds like you were a good son. As soon as I get the chance I will light one up in honor.

I can relate. Losing my Dad was one of the low spots in my life. I can tell you though that he stayed with me and smiles everytime I enjoy a good cigar. Remember the good times and let the pain of the end pass.

I know I am fairly new here but just wanted to say I took a big loss yesterday afternoon. My father who was also my best friend passed away. He was an avid cigar smoker and aficionado. Dad tought me about the important lessons in life as and most of my knowledge about the leaf. He was suffering from parkinsons, demensia and alzheimers. He was 69. I moved down from WV to Ky to take care of him and my aunt who also suffers from dementia and alzheimer's about a year and half ago. I was there with him even for the final moments but know he's in a way better place now. So if you don't mind, light one up in his honor please.

David

You performed a difficult yet noble task by caring for your father and aunt as you did. You and your family will by in my thoughts and prayers. I will make sure to burn a beauty in honor of your father and aunt.

I'm sorry to hear of your loss. I feel for you since I had a similar experience with my Dad a couple years ago. I smoked a Monte A and reflected on all the times we had. I miss him every day but know it was time. My next cigar will be in honor of your father.
