Anyone tried the new Bud Light Lime Lime-a-ritas? I know they are kinda gimmicky but I bought two 12-packs last saturday and I've been having one (or two...or three....or...) a night ever since. They aren't up to par with a good margarita on the rocks but with a salted rim and a glass full of ice they go down mighty quick. I think I need to restock my bar because I forgot how much I love a good summer mixed drink.

This is like asking this forum if they've had any good Gurkhas lately....

Sure there are those who like them, but not too many.

If I want a Margarita, I'm making my own. Good ones are HTF even in mexican joints.

Buy some Agave nectar, nice bottle of tequila, some fresh lime, dash of diet squirt (which I prefer to most any margarita mix), salted rim...and now you're talking Margaritas.

These are just as you said, gimmicks. If you like em' though, that's what matters. I just wouldn't personally ever buy these. 10 years ago? Probably..lol.

uh oh. With the amount of flak I took for drinking a lowly domestic beer (gasp), I expect the brew police will be by shortly to hammer the crap out of this one...lol

I have the agave nectar and limes and I'll grab some tequila when I restock the bar tonight. What squirt similar to? I don't think we have that around here. Anything like Sun Drop?

I am sure they go down quickly because they are 8oz'ers. If you like em then enjoy em... Personally, I will pass. I think Michelob Ultra just came out with a Iced Tea/Lemonade mix sounds like something you could tossed an umbrella in and feel the breeze up your skirt, probably goes well with a Moon Trance Petite Corona :glassesgr

Not sure, never had Sun Drop...but I'd guess so. Seriously, you don't have Squirt? Doesn't strike me as a regional soda release..lol. I just don't like Margarita mix due to the sweetness. Which is why I prefer the Diet squirt to the regular. That, and to maintain my girlish craft beer-lovin' figure!

Did some googling/wikipedia-ing on Squirt. It might be available, I've just never seen it before. In fact, I've never even heard of it. Maybe the Harris Teeter soda isle will be kind to me.

I agree about the magarita mixes, they usually taste off
