Fake's have come a LO
OOONG WAY. They can counterfeit the bands to be next to perfect in everyway. Honestly, the only
real way to tell is to set fire to them....
Unless the band and cigar (
assuming they're fake) are just terrible reproductions, you won't know ... I know that's not what you want to hear, but unfortunately it's true.
Bad replica's are just that - Bad replica's. Excellent replica's are (or
can be)
identical cosmetically - and until you smoke it, and have the palette to tell the difference - you simply won't know.
Now, all that being said, the way bands are attached at the seam is one of the best places to look for potential fakes, especially with cohiba's. Habanos are meticulous, and the ends should mate together perfectly - cohiba is arguably habanos most popular and most profitable brand - not to mention the most recognized globally, and probably the most counterfeit.
Smoke 'em - then you tell us.
