Long dry spell, but finally a job interview

For those who did not know, I lost my job in government back in October due to being 'involuntarily retired.' They eliminated my position, as well as three of my colleagues because of the economy.

Well, been filling out applications like crazy, more than 70.

First face to face interview is in 2 weeks. Guess where, Texas, just outside of Dallas.

Airline, hotel and rental car are reserved by me for trip. Excited that the dry spell might finally be ending!

Postscript: Interview went great, and scheduled me for another interview in two weeks. Meantime, fractured bone in foot and flew to Dallas with cast on it. Second interview went as good as first. Found out there are 2 finalists.

I should hear yes or no this week or next. Hate this waiting.
