RATS!!! How did I miss this thread back in February?!?!?

Be sure to PM me if you need anything on your return trip!

I'm in and around Dallas all day long!

OK, it's been three weeks since they said they would call. I called a week and a half ago, no word. Flying out to Austin in 2 weeks for an interview with them. If Dallas does not call, and Austin does...:bottle:

Waited for them to call me. Should have known it was not good as they have not contacted me for a month after the last interview.

I called them yesterday to find out and the boss "chickened out" leaving the secretary to tell me that I did not get the job.

Anyway, onwards to Austin and have a great attitude!:bottle:

I am sorry it did not work out for you. This economy is brutal. I believe that any faith the labor had in management has clearly been eroded. If and when the average Joe or Jane goes back to work, loyalty will not be a part of their vocabulary.

Hang in there. It will turn around for you.

Thanks. Got back from Austin this morning. Interview went great, there are four finalists. We'll see what happens. Austin is a great city!! Great cigars, cold mexican beer and outrageous food. Hope I get it.:hearteyes

Got a call on Friday last week, Austin offered me the job, I accepted and soooo, I am Austin-bound! :smokingbo Thanks to all the well-wishers, as 8 months of unemployment was wearing thin and my cigar purchasing power was severly reduced, as well as anything I could spend money on.

Traveling out to Austin, 1,686 miles, next Monday and should arrive on the 23rd. Hopefully, I'll find an apartment soon and then I'll have to get DL change, vehicle registration, etc. Oy!

Thanks!

DUDE, good news. I hope you are taking it as good news, because the Texas Hill Country around Austin is gorgeous. They have several good big lakes and many smaller lakes and ponds nearby for fishing and swiming.

BTW GO LONGHORNS!!!!!
