I've never heard them called the hammer. But they are the "family reserve".

Jorge Padron will be at a Padron event at Sullivans Steakhouse in Charlotte, NC on Tues. 12/1. I think someone posted a thread here and it looks to be a great event. It's only 2 hours away AND I CAN'T GO. :crytears::crytears::crytears::crytears:


Who knows when they'll ever be this close again.

A PAM 64 was my first premium stick and it was love at first puff. PAM 64's and 26's will always be at the top of my list of fav's.

Also, fret not good buddy, I believe this is done annually in Charlotte because there is a Tinder Box here that has the highest sales of any location in the country. Rumor has it that the CEO of Tinder Box is a good buddy of Jorge's.

My understanding from reading up on the smoke is that this is a "family reserve" called the "44th" but is very different than "The Hammer" - which is the 45th Anniversary Family Reserve.

I do believe also that The Hammer/45th is part of the 1964 Anniversary Series.

Side note- it's a SPECTACULAR cigar.

In my profile there is a picture of an original Family Reserve #44, which only came in maduro and was packaged in a cab of 50.
The 'Hammer' is the #45 that comes in boxes of ten in both maduro and natural (htf).

same place had the 45s for $29 each

and the 80th too, $33

also had a great selection of everything else


stop at this store once a year when we buy our christmas tree.

no doubt i'l be stoppin in more often. the place had a killer selection!
