So sorry to hear, Tom. I have a deep soft spot in my heart for vets, and he sounds like he was quite exceptional. I remember losing my grandmother and having the same kind of feelings. I hope that you eventually come to the point I did, when I was able to instead of lamenting the loss, to rejoice that she had been there for so long.
