I'm with you I don't like the buzz. I think the key is being hydrated. the only times I feel buzzed are when I haven't drank alot of water that day.

But to answer your question about cigars
El Triunfador
La Riqueza
Very interesting...I have never noticed if being dehydrated causes the "buzz" for me...I will start paying attention to that.

Thanks!

I've been told by several people (even e-mailed Bryan from CigarObsession) that having a very sugary beverage can often cut down on the nicotine kick.

From my understanding, even though you're not inhaling a cigar, your saliva is becoming saturated with the nicotine and tar. So especially if you have an empty stomach at the time of smoking, having all that stuff piling up in your gut can make you feel/become pretty sick as it enters your bloodstream and messes with your blood sugar.

So, similar to the way some diabetics can offset an "attack" by downing a Coke or a glass of OJ, you can do that (or even just a spoonful of raw sugar and some water) and help yourself level out.

This happens to me any time I smoke a cigarette. So I don't smoke cigarettes :agreeclen

Most Fuentes BESIDES Opus X are pretty spicy without the nicotine push (which I also detest---Hense no Opus for me)

Henry Clay, Viaje Oro, 601 Red, I can't think of any more at the moment.
I'd like to 2nd Clint's recommendations and add the 601 Blue Box Press Maduro to the group, it is extremely tasty in my opinion!

I'll second the El Triunfador and submit Nestor Miranda Special Selection. Medium-bodied but complexity and flavor to burn.

Tobacco = Nicotine
They all have it and it, like taste, depends on the individual smoking it. I really don't get nicotine buzz's so I don't know if it's my genetics or what. I usually will have a beverage with my cigar which has cafeine in it or vitamin water. I don't know if that curbs the nicotine but I still find it wierd I don't have this issue.
You may have to stick with mild cigars which in my opinion does not have alot of flavor the more med-full blends have. Some off the top of my head would be an "Occidental Reserve" or a "La Herencia Cubana Oscuro Fuerte". Both great milder cigars with good flavor. I think any of Pete's Red lables would fit the bill too.

A few that come to mind are Fuente regular line ie chateau/double chateau, try a natural, maduro then move to the sun grown (good thing about these are they are avail with the different wrappers so you can see what you like), Hemingways are always good, short storys and sigs were among my first cigars. If you like Pete's smokes, you can't lose with the Cabaiguan line. smooth creamy with an underlying Pepin pepperyness. I'd stay away from anything new thats come out in the past few years as the surge for strength has been popular. G1

This is why my usual beverage whilst enjoying a cigar is a glass or two of water. Not only does it help dilute the nicotine saturated saliva, it helps cleanse the palate as well.

A couple of high end choices that match your description; the Outlaw Tatuaje and the Illusione Singulare are both very full flavored and not more than medium strength.

The two that jump to mind for me are:

Tabacos Baez (the Original) - I'd try this one first.
Viaje Platino

and if you want a little more oomph than the ones above, albeit not by a bunch, the EPC Short Run is also a great stick.
