It is a classic liberal arguement that is basically telling you that you are unable to decide what is best for yourself. Also I am failing to see how cigars are marketed to kids, short of phillys or ditch masters? Especially since cigars are getting so expensive, it would seem that the arguement lacks creditability when applied to cigars. Cigerettes maybe a differant story thoguh. That's sad.. And the first comment that is put up after the story, a 20 year old point about marketing toward kids... When is that going to come to a close?
I was reading about the U.S. government going after $300 billion from tobacco products for past health issues.... At what point does the "I didn't know" argument go out the window?
Sorry to thread jack--I'll not climb all the way on to my soapbox.
I'm not even sure about cigarettes anymore. The fact is the media has bludgeoned the tobacco issue to the point that the fad is to overreact about it. Anymore, with all the health reports and so forth, there are very few people that have an argument anymore if they start. It is a classic liberal arguement that is basically telling you that you are unable to decide what is best for yourself. Yea hes a clown, but i guess everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I would buy online or maybe drive to NH, but i feel terrible doing major herfing at my shop here in boston. I mean you have to keep your local shop running, but at this rate its going to be hard to smoke even the everyday sticks here in this city.First of all how can anyone like Deval Patrick?
Secondly I'm not surprised but liberals love taxing the hell out of people forcing people out of business and in turn forcing citizens to rely on the government. I hate this state and its politics are a joke. After raising the sales tax to 6.25 percent a state legislator was photographed buying liquor in New Hampshire. I personally either buy cigars off the internet or take the 30 minute ride to 2 guys smoke shop. I think we should throw a smoke deval out of office party around reelection time.
haha yea thats just redic. Luckily I just go to school here so the minute I graduate I am getting the heck out of dodge and heading back to the dairy state! Of course the gov. there is equally as idiotic.i would keep the local shop running but I don't really have a local shop and I feel bad for shops closing but if we just take it and take it they won't stop raising taxes. It sucks but if you are going to say hey I got to help this guy out you are in turn telling deval its ok he is raising taxes. I'm almost ready to leave this state to be honest especially if they put the chip in the license plate to tax you on road usage. If they do that I will be living in N.H. the very next day.
