yeah if they really wanted to make money they would announce that for three months the tax rate on tobbacco would be cut in half to 15%. the shear volume of sales due to people stocking up would make much more money than double the tax. but like donnie said the goal is to get more people to rely on the government
...if they REALLY wanted to make money, they'd raise the taxes on places like McDonalds, Burger King, Taco Bell, etc... That's where the money would pour in.
I actually think Deval has a good shot at getting in. Depending on who runs against him and how many people run against him, the vote could be split like when Clinton was voted in office. Everyone says hes going to be going to DC but why would they want him he has accomplished less then our president.lol
i was at my local shop yesterday and he was fretting a little bit. he is a small shop and said if he pays $10 for a stick and $12 in taxes how can he justify selling it for $24 so he can make a couple of bucks. I told him what i paid for a box online and it was $10 cheaper than his cost after taxes. Gotta love Taxachusettes.
I just don't understand when the economy is so horrible why they would do anything that would cost jobs. Well thats a lie i stated earlier why they are doing it but still. Call me a kook call me whatever as days pass it seems to me the government is more intent on making us rely on them and controlling everything we do. Andy did you hear above Devals plan to put a chip in ya lic plate to see track mile usage and tax you on it whenever you get gas?? This country is just getting out of control the people need to step up and take it back over, take it from the progressives.
