True, and he can appeal immediately after his probation is finished for decision that results in a non-conviction (in layman's terms, it's having your civil rights restored).

It's likely that he'll be able to vote again, not so sure on the firearm considering his conviction, because they were Federal charges, right?

Anyhow, I do not believe his right to own an animal can be taken away by a felony conviction. Unless of course it was part of the deal, which I believe only covers the duration of his probation.

Correct me if I'm wrong.
Greg, my comments were mostly of a general nature since many forget that a felony conviction does remove some rights permanently regardless of incarceration. The charges were federal. The plea agreement can be found here. I see nothing in the probation section about him not being able to own a dog, but it may have come in a supplemental agreement as covered near the end of the document.

Call it the optimist in me, I would find it a nice ironic twist if Vick would adopt a dog, and the dog saves HIS life.
