I'd go for whatever you find is darkest - Montes, in particular, seem to perform very well with darker wrappers over the years.

It is said that the Especiales has a cult following, much like the Partagas SdC crowd. Never had the pleasure of FINDING a box so I cannot speak on the quality of the blend.

However, 08 #3 is showing great promise. Already halfway developing the rich creamy sweetness that you look to find in the #2 after a decade!
