Mom-in-law update:

We're at 1 month in and to tell you the truth, it ain't nearly as bad as I thought it would be. Yes, I do miss having the house to myself when I get off, but I've traded that for stuffed porkchops/lasagna/steak fumes when I walk thru the door. In the evenings she plays dominos with Lindsey while I'm having an after dinner smoke. And that's after she cleans up the kitchen. Not bad huh? :transform

she is just buttering you up for the main question... Can I live with you, that way she can save money by not getting her own place. LOL

Glad everything is going well for you right now.

Oh no!! There is definately nothing permanent to this situation. I think knowing this has an easing effect on all of us.

Anticipation is usually worse than the actual event. Glad it is working out. A lot of extended families made it work this way 50 years ago. Seems like we kinda lost sight of that.

UUGGGGHHH, I'VE HAD IT DAMMIT!!!
It was all good in the beginning, but I've had enough! I'm crying uncle for pete's sake. She's become lazy and she's a nosey medler. You gotta be pretty bad when even your daughter is ready for you to go. And my wife is the calmest, kindhearted person you ever want to meet. 2 more weeks and there will be no July for her at my house.:argue:

My MIL is coming to visit for a few days, and I dread the visit when she pops that 'surprise' on me.

I feel for ya man. Get out of the house this weekend. Go camping, head to the lake, spend the weekend at the titty bar, whatever. Just get out of the house for a couple of days.

It's time to ask her to leave, I'm not sure what brought her there in the first place, but it's clear that it's time for her to go. You're probably going to have to take that bullet for your wife, by asking MIL to take a hike. How you approach it, is up to you.
