That's great news Andy, and I feel that this is one of the areas that I have more experience than most of the other brothers haha. I just passed the one year post-op mark and I'll just let the numbers speak for themselves:

Starting weight: 365
Current weight: 190
Starting waist size: 44-46
Current waist size: 33-34
Starting shirt size: 3XL
Current shirt size: L

You won't even be able to recognize yourself in old pictures! Im proud of you bro, and of the tough, lifelong decision that you've made. It's a bummer about the smoking, but you'll be back to it in no time. I was smoking one cigar a week about 3 months post-op. Way to go bro!

prayers sent Man! I have a friend who has does well after his surgery. Likes the guys said I did'n even know it was him till I saw him on TV for a Ad for the local hospital. HE lost over 200 lbs and has maintain it for years now!

As for laying off the smokes, it'll be rough, but so's damn near anything worth doing. Just take it one day at a time and don't obsess.

I hope all goes well for you brother. I know how nerve wrecking sururies are and even worse when you can't have your stogies. Hopefully your reward will be an awsome smoke after you recover...however as long as you had to wait it could be a dog turd and you'ld be happy LOL...serioulsy smoke one of your best!! :thumbsup:
