Hate basketball. Mainly hate that ESPN thinks that any dunk deserves to be 5 of the top 10 plays each day.

I hope more people will watch the NHL this year now. Don't really miss it at all but it does hurt our downtown businesses.

Don't miss it what passes for basketball. never watched much but every highlight shows a guy carrying, or traveling. So untill they bring back fundamental basketball wont miss it.

Right now, no. But, with the NFL season going it's easy for me to miss my favorite professional sport early in the season. I will miss it though if there is no Christmas miracle, one of my favorite Christmas Day things is watching the NBA. I'll especially miss the playoffs if there is no season at all. If some sanity can arise between the owners and the players maybe the fans will be still be willing to make sure the revenue's keep coming in if a season will happen at all. It's become very frustrating watching these parties argue about their portion of wealth from the League, makes me want to say good luck boys see you all later.

Couldn't agree more.

Although I do feel bad for the employees and small businesses that rely on the industry... like the guy who mans the concession stand, the lady in the memorabilia shop, etc.

I lived in Seattle when the Supersonics move/sale/pillage went down. I don't have a lot of love for the NBA in general. Now I live in Phoenix, and the Suns are, well, the Suns. I don't mind catching a game or two in person, and it's nice to have the NBA on TV once in a while, but frankly, there are more important things to occupy my time with. Millionaires and billionaires fighting over money just isn't that appealing to me.

I just hope it ends up being worth the wait. I'm a big believer in a hard salary cap for Basketball and baseball. The NFL is fun every week because anybody can beat anybody or at least the feeling it can happen is there. Maybe the lockout will produce a more competitive league?

Let all the rich millionaire babies complain about getting more while the average joe suffers to make ends meet. They just prove how infantile they are and they deserve to be out in this economy trying to find ANY job they are qualified for that pays anywhere near their NBA salaries.

In short, they won't find it, and they will have the epiphany that maybe their lives weren't so bad and they shouldn't have squandered in 1 year what most people could live on very comfortably for the rest of their lives.

Can't friggin' stand the NBA. I used to watch when I was younger, when Jordan, Bird, and some of those guys were playing... but now, no way. I watch some college hoops.

Exactly. Though I wonder if schedules didn't coincide with the NFL, People would be forced to learn the rules of hockey and be confused lol..."huh, icing? I don't get it" G1
my problem with hockey and reason i don't watch is all the fights. Not that I'm against the violence but it ruins the flow of the game. Hockey like soccer is a beautiful game to watch the greats play. watched everygame last olympics then i tried watching NHL and got tired of these "enforcers" ruining the flow of the game. just the way Netherlands ruined the world cup final with all the hard fouls
