Natural Juicy Lucy by Drew Estates was the sweetest cigar I have ever smoked. I couldn't finish it b/c I am so used to much better cigars.

Nothing wrong with starting out with Acids, but better is the Natural line from Drew Estates as well. But if you want to save a little coin the CI Legends Drew Estates sticks are maybe the best "infused" cigar I have had. Well except for the Natural Irish Hops. Those things are like smoking dessert.

Not for me much these days but if you want sweet you can not go wrong with those two.

Baccarat - mild and sweet.

Lots of cigar smokers start out with mild, sweet smokes and slowly work their way up the strength/taste scale.

I would say any of the Drew Estate Nautral or Tabak Especial would do. They have sweetened caps and the Tabak is coffee infused. The Java would be up his alley as well. The construction on the Drew Estate sticks are great and if you can stomach that sweetened cap crap then you'll be content. After he's had a few of those let him try a regular cigar...something with a Connecticut wrapper would be mild, but don't be put off by having him try something a little stronger...he might like it. Some suggestions would be a Perdomo Lot 23 or Padron 2000.

Copper Label from the CI Legends series by Drew Estates.

I finally joined the forums, because I was surprised that no one had mentioned this cigar. Then I noticed that some had indeed mentioned it, but I thought it would be a good to mention it again so that it's more prominent.

It's definitely mild and a good choice for someone new to cigars. I suggest using a punch cutter, as you wouldn't want to lose much of the sweetened cap by cutting it off.

Hemingway Short Story... always had just a little bit of sweetness to it for me, but still a good solid cigar, for those starting out and those experienced smokers alike..

I always love this when people say this when others ask for something that doesnt fit what the person likes......

I would say try an acid, definately try a java by drew estate..... i didnt care for tabak especial

I didn't say this because I don't like <fill in the blank> I said it because it sounds like the guy is reaching rather hard to like something. Cigars aren't for everyone, sport.

Hey guys,

My little brother is wanting to get into cigars but wants a real sweet and mild smoke. Do yall have any recommendations?
Greetings txaggie9307,

I would recommend getting some mild samplers from somewhere like famous smoke or cigars international. This way he can start dicovering the different natural flavours and based on what he seems to like further recommendations may be made.

Hemingway Short Story... always had just a little bit of sweetness to it for me, but still a good solid cigar, for those starting out and those experienced smokers alike..
This i find spot on. The particular cameroon on the hemingway has a bit of sweetness to it and is such a pleasently smooth cigar. If someone new asked me i would probably let them taste this cigar for this and another reason as well.

The second reason is the size. A smaller shorter ring gauge is nice for a newcomer because if they get tired or overwhelmed they won't feel as guilty for throwing the rest of the cigar away as opposed to smoking 1/3 of a toro and tossing it out.

Another really nice cigar would be an oliva special g.

best regards,
m.a.d.

Start him out with some Connecticut's maybe.

Oliva Nub Connecticut, 5 Vegas Gold, Oliva Connecticut Reserve, etc.

Honestly I think the best suggestion for new smokers is just try stuff and see what you like. Start out cheaper work your way up. Oliva, Padron, 5 Vegas, CAO.

For a sweet treat I always reach for a Arturo Fuente Sun Grown Belicoso (or any cigar in the sun grow line). Look for a black band around the bottom of the cigar that will represent the Sun Grown line. The Chateau is a smaller/less expensive smoke might wanna try there. If your patient you can find a good buy on them on CBid every once in awhile.
