I'm gonna be trying to see Rush in June here in Austin.. Was gonna try last September, but some stuff came up.

Saw RUSH as one of my 1st concerts in '76 at a small movie theatre in port chester ny. They were the warm up for blue oyster cult and stole the show. It was incredibly loud!!! Good to see them still kickin' it.

I have been a big Peart fan since I was 10.

I remember arguing with my High School band teacher about how Niel blows Buddy Rich out of the water. After a couple of days of me showing him the light, he agreed whole heartedly.

There will never be anyone as good as Niel, and he makes it look easy. Stewart Copeland was great until he got tied up in International (tribe) music.

A guy I work with is a mega-fan of Peart's. He stood in line just to see Peart's drum kit went on tour. That's right - the drum kit went on tour. Not Neil. No one playing it. Just sitting there and people lined-up to see it.

One of the best drummers out there. As mentioned in another post, he is also a great writer. He has written 4 books with his 5th just about to come out.
In his book "Roadshow" he talks about this drum solo .It was recorded in Frankfurt on the R30 tour. He wasn't satisfied with it. Wanted it to be better. Damn good solo if you ask me.

Peart is an icon, though....A perfectionist who is just an amazing talent.
