I could go on for days and days about this, but my blood pressure is high enough.
In theory, this is an interesting idea. In reality, the school is probably going to create much more of a headache for themselves because these will become legal issues. Is the school going to pay a lawyer to handle the lawsuit against the constitutionality of this law, or just make it go away? The amount they will pay to their lawyer will far exceed what they will get for the detention, so they will make it go away, and then what has that accomplished? In the end, the parent will have "won" when their kid has been a problem child. This is a bad idea imo.
