Hello Brothers (and sisters)
I guess I should introduce myself. First off I have been smoking pipes and cigars for about 7 years. I had my first cigar, an Arturo Fuente Short story, in a shop in Dayton Ohio called the Wharf. I hated it. After smoking pipes I used to a much more robust smoke. I launched myself into full-flavored heavy maduro smokes. The CAO Lx2 and Camacho Tripple Maduro was my jam. At the time I was serving in the USAF station at Wright-Patterson AFB and as my enlistment was coming to an end I applied to work part-time at my local B&M, the aforementioned Wharf. I worked there part-time for about 8 months when I left the Air Force and took the position as manager. Over the time I developed my palette and found that I love cigars all over the spectrum. One of my go-to is the CLE cuarenta (now know as just the Habano) and my humidor is pretty well stocked with Tattiaje, Drew Estate, Laranja, CAO Amazon basin and more.
After leaving the Wharf to be closer to my wife's family in Indiana I got the itch to get back into cigars and I am currently working at a fantastic new shop called Copper Canyon in Fort Wayne Indiana with. It is not a dedicated cigar shop but it has a nice humidor that was once a bank vault and a small lounge with big plans for expansion. I also work with a great tobacconist who is a member here but I have forgotten his username and would rather not put his personal name out there even though I am sure quite a few of you do know him.
I had actually signed up for this forum when it first started and I wish I had kept with you all as r/cigars quickly because a crap fest and I have just been limiting my cigar discussions with locals at the shop. Being back in the industry and hearing about how great this community is I am looking forward to interacting and learning from you all as I catch up on what I have missed and deepen my understanding in the wonderful world of cigars.
