My name comes from an old pickup I used to have, a '77 Chevy C10 Bonanza. It has been (and still is) in the family since '77.

Thanks for the warm welcome fellows, and I look forward to learning more here!!!

Nice to have you! Never be afraid to ask a question because we've all been in that situation before!

Thanks all...talk about a welcome party!

I am looking forward to marriage. It's a very special thing when you have found your soulmate!

We are going to Hawaii for our honeymoon. I am looking forward to laying around on the beach smoking a nice stick, among other things. :togetherl

Okay...here is my first official BOTL question. (Drums playing in the background.)

I have noticed several of you mentioning the "darkside" when discussing smokes.

What exactly is the darkside?

You guys crack me up...I can already tell I am going to like it around here.

Since I haven't seen a definitive answer, here is my guess for you guys to laugh at. :)

Darkside: The point at which your hobby becomes an obsession (not always a bad thing!). Probably noticable by buying nice smokes and nice accessories.

Well, how's that for a newbie guess?

Oh. Ohhhh. Hehehehe Ohhhhhhh!

Thanks for the hint Todd. Okay, like I mentioned my limited cigar experience is with Thompson's house brand and some RyJ Churchills from my local smoke shop.

Let's just say I am a Cuban virgin. :awholelot

I noticed the forum rules are no discussions about supplies, vendors, sources, etc etc.

Are PM's off limits? Emails? Like I said, I am naive about all of this and don't know where to even start looking for a vendor.

You guys are fast! :computer:

Take your time. You'll learn all you need to know in due time.

Click here but remember, don't TRADE for cigars, buy them.

Oh, and BTW...
:seesaw:
I've heard that it is very difficult to be able to tell a fake from the real deal...something about fakes have VERY similar bands and markings.

So what's the secret? Any way to determine real from wannabe's? :bangbang:
