Most of the time the problem is that someone lights up a Nub and thinks because it's short and fat it's only a 20 minute smoke which couldn't be further from the truth!

In my opinion the Nub is easily an hour smoke, plain and simple.

Reminds me of the owner of another cigar forum recommending Nubs to someone asking for a 15-20 minute smoke. Makes you wonder...

I do smoke fast. Robusto's usually take me 40-45 minutes to get down to 1". Most say a Robusto takes about an hour. Nubs take me 35-40 minutes or so. Granted you only get 3" of cigar out of it. But it is pretty close to a Robusto.

As I mentioned earlier before someone made me look silly.... I like the wider ring gauge because it burns much cooler which is great for people who smoke fast. But I don't like these new popular 6x60 cigars. That's like a 2 hour smoke for me. I don't go for smokes that take over an hour.

It's a neat concept and I like them on occasion but not at the price point in California. The Habano is the most recent one I've had. SPicy flavor.

Also I dig larger ring guage cigars too, the cool burn etc.

Also, I hear that the Cain F is now a NUB,
The Cain F nub was introduced by Sam on his tour last year, i have a box of Cain F Nubs personally hand rolled by sam (the box in my avatar is that box of hand rolled cain F nubs).

The Cain F is a great cigar, and the nub version by far my favorite "Go to" stick when i am out having dinner.

as for Studio Tobac, i am saddened to see sam leave oliva, but during his tour last fall it was evident that he wasn't very happy with oliva. this can only mean great things for Sam as he could very well align himself with another company or start his own.
