With both of those plays, the replay didn't show enough evidence to overturn the ruling on the field. IIRC, in both instances, the ref said the ruling on the field "stands", meaning they couldn't conclude otherwise; rather than "confirmed", meaning they conclusively proved the ruling on the field.

Either way, you'll find these discussions with every close game, so it doesn't really matter.

Good point, in fact now that you mention it seen that several times this season where it has come down to that, looks like ref made wrong call, but replay wasnt conclusive. Thanks

This, well said /boot bill. As a Giants fan I can say it was a loss, an all too familiar thing lately.
