Just finished one, a Lonsdale, and while I rarely smoke mild or mild-med cigars I thought this had a wonderful flavor. Creamy, but rich, and not one-dimensional to my uneducated palate. Being milder, I could really "dig in" to it and I unearthed some delicious taste. Definitely tell it was an Oliva, (I love Os, like Gs a lot and the Vs are out of this world). It was pretty far afield from a Flor de Oliva in my opinion. I got these for my "I don't like strong" smoking guests, but I'll be having more of these myself.

Looks like I need to get some.. I LOVE the Nub Connecticut, so I can only see the Oliva being great as well.

Is this the Oliva with the white band? A few guys were talking about them at Holts on Saturday. I love the V especially in the lancero.

I love the NUB Connecticut as well, and I've only had one Casa Torano but I like that a lot too. I'm looking forward to the Oliva Connie!

Our shop hosted the worldwide release of these. They are fantastic sticks. Med/Mild with wonderful flavor and a creamy white smoke and a beautiful wrapper. These have become one of my go to sticks and I almost never smoke sticks below a full medium. The price point on them is great too.

Josh, our Oliva rep surprised me last week by showing up at work and greeting me at my bench. He gave me a bag with 6 Oliva's in in, one being the Connecticut. I smoked it on the way home from work, it was nice, mild, a little grassy for me in the beginning, but nice overall.

Grassy as in young? Or as in it will stay so?

Not really young, just a grassy taste in the wrapper I believe.
Ok. Since they are so recent I thought that could be why; but I've also had simply grassy cigars. Though if it is as Dave says, and it was simply bad luck, I'd say there are some things to be done with quality control in the blending...Oliva shouldn't be inconsistent at all, by now.

I posted the question right after I had my first "white label". I bet this is their nickname now, btw.

I agree with the reviews before. A little grassy at the start, but I think that it is mainly the wrapper firing up before the filler warms. At the price point, this connecticut is unbeatable.

PS- Had the Toro.

I don't normally smoke Olivas, but I was nosing around in my B&M today and the Oliva rep was there...talked me into getting a V and a Connecticut to try and the owner tossed in a Nub for free, so I'll be firing these up this weekend.

Weather down here just turned perfect for smoking outside...sunny and 72.
