So I had to get some petrol this morning and when i reached for the 87 octane button, I stopped, thinking I had made a mistake. I didn't want 91 OCT, and at $4.29 per Gal, I figured it had to be premium. Nope, I had it right, Premium is $4.49 a gallon. I am sick to my stomach thinking that by the end of summer this coule be $5.50. And as the song says, "Nobody walks in L.A.". You can't, everything is too far apart. I guess it makes sense to invest in a bad ass TV and stay home.

I know you left coast guys have it far worse than most of the rest of the country. In Phoenix regular is about $3.85 or so. Everytime I have to fill up I think "at least I am not paying CA prices".

I had the same reaction. $71 bucks to fill my f-ing CAR with regular! The last few times I filled the wifes SUV I got tapped out ($75) before it was full. I took my scooter to work a couple of weeks ago but it's a little too far and way to hairy (Looking out for the other guy)!

$3.69 here in Bama. Still costs me $65 to fill up the Pathy and $13 on the bike. Used to could fill them up for $50 and $9...

Looks like I am about to start two wheeling it everyday unless it is flooding.

I tell you what, since moving to TX and starting to work from home I have found a few downsides to telecommuting. I rarely see people anymore, I feel like I'm always at "work" etc. But one thing I don't miss is having to fill up the 27 Gal tank on my F150 every week.

Yea I am paying about 3.90 here. I saw 3.78 over the weekend and got excited. :nodlaugh:

I still remember about 7 years ago or so seeing gas for .97 cents a gallon.
And I can still remember when the highest-priced place in town (where I worked for a while) was 37.9 cents a gallon.:yes:

I just got my wifes old car (1997 Ford Contour) running so I can park my truck in the garage and leave it there. Right now I am paying $500 - $600 (maybe even more) per month in gas and it's only supposed to get worse. 12 MPG is brutal, tomorrow I start using the car...halle-freakin-lujah :applause:
