Up here in Washington we try to be California, tax 'em till they bleed. Even though the Oil pipeline and the West Coast's Refinery are in state.
Paid $4.21- probably could have gotten it cheaper, but i figured it would be bad to show up late on my first day.

Dropped 5 cents to $3.89 in the past day. Starting to ride my bicycle to work this week.

I had a '63 VW Karmen Ghia convertable that used to cost me $1.50/1.65 to FILL it. I could run it back and forth to work for two weeks on one tank.
The gas stations back then used to have gas wars, it would go from 25 cents to 19 cents, a penny at a time, for a week.

So, who's driving to South Florida for a vacation this year?
We are already seeing hotels and parks throwing out offers. Many Orlando Hotels are offering a $50 gas card if you stay a couple nights. When they are more intrested in the drive up locals than the fly in tourists, you know it's gonna be a lean season.
Oh well, gives all the out of work Airline people something to do... Good thing we are not in a recession, which would suck! {Sarcasm}

My ex informed me that since the cost of gas is climbing, she wants more money. I told her to go work the street corner, since the judge told her 7 years ago, no more.. hehe. My daughter, who just graduated from high school last week gets whatever she needs, my ex gets the old :nono: :grinFU:
Send her a red can and a syphon hose, just incase they ask why she's standing on the corner.:hysterica

I don't mind the oil companies, sure they make great margins, but they're just the middlemen. What pisses me off is huge upswing in US dollars going to our "friends" (I mean that politically, not in any other context) in the Arab countries, who in turn are giving that money to the folks shooting at our soldiers! WTF are we thinking?
Our OPEC buddies are the consummate capitalists - controlling supply so we pay for the high demand.
Brokers are also another factor in this equation, they are scooping upon the futures. Price was up $5 a barrel yesterday. It obvious that some commodities broker paid for his new Hummer with that increase.:angerhead
