I bought some past 1964 anniversary blends based on BG's recommendation, but did not like them. I tend to align with most of his reviews because he prefers sticks with more dessert like flavors. However, he does also like the pepper "zing" and full bodied cigars where I can only go med-full at most. I know I'm the outlier here because this board primarily likes full bodied smokes with lots of pepper.

I will probably get hammered on here for this, but here we go. I just did a little test for myself to compare two sticks back to back. First I smoked a Liga #9 Belicosa for $17 of course a very tasty stick. A few days later I stopped back and bought a Padron 1964 Maduro Torpedo $17.50. For the basically the same money, the Padron destroyed the Liga. It was so silky smooth and delicious. Now, to be clear I really enjoy the Liga #9, but dollar for dollar Im going 1964 Maduro Torpedo everytime if I could afford it :argh:
On a side note, I keep 3000/4000 in my humidor and are the most consistant cigars I have ever smoked, literally never had a burn issue, and the draw is so easy. Great utility cigar at a very reasonable price.

Somewhat reluctantly going to crash this Padron love-fest.....only because the OP has a question mark.
I know I'm among the bottom one percenters, but I have yet to have a Padron that made me want to have another. I am just totally immune to whatever they put in there that appeals to nearly everyone else. Perfect construction, every one. Never had a bad one. Just never had any --000's or Anni's-- that wowed me. Every time, I think, "This is pretty good....but not as good as (something else) at same price point"

x2---Age on a Padron does great things, but I can smoke the x000 series without age and they are great too! Always a staple in my humi!
I like them, but for the dollar (they're jacked in price at my local b/m) I'm not a major fan. They're good, never have an issue, but not my preference.

I have some aged 6000s in the natural and maduro. What an awesome smoke. Wish I could get more but I bought all the one my local B&M had already lol
2000s and 64s are my favorite Padrons...would love to try a 26, but have yet to pull the trigger...gun shy on the price!
