Has anyone returned a cutter to Palio for a new one? My cutter blades cut into themselves and are all mangled. I have no idea how this happened but I believe someone else in the forum had the same issues. I bought the cutter online so I'm not sure that the retailer would take it back.

I don't have one, but looked into getting one. You're not the only person to have this happen. It seems like a not uncommon occurrence. Get in touch with Palio's customer service. From everything I've read, you won't have any problem. They stand behind their product.

Yeah, I'm no longer a fan. I was originally, but after hearing many folks go through several swaps due to the same issue you're having (having blades that are way to thin and get a burr from hitting a thick stem), combined with their lack of adequate response to direct inquiries by a few other folks, I have to say I'm pretty unimpressed at this point.

I was gonna quote Tommy Boy, but that still seems a bit harsh ;)

Brothers don't shake hands. Brothers gotta hug?
Lol.

"Ted Nelson: But why do they put a guarantee on the box?

Tommy: Because they know all they sold ya was a guaranteed piece of shit. That's all it is, isn't it? Hey, if you want me to take a dump in a box and mark it guaranteed, I will. I got spare time."

Very fitting IMO. Bought one as my first ever cutter hearing rave reviews and the fanfare. Two weeks into owning it it would jam then when opened, completely separate and one of the blades would fall out, after several attempts at contacting someone I gave up tossed it and moved on.

I really wonder if they started getting an uptick in business and their quality control went downhill, which is what's causing up to all of these issues. All I've got to say is that I love my two Xikars, and will never regret getting them.

I was able to get a replacement directly from palio. All the retailers near me were sold out. I believe I emailed them and they gave me an address to send it to.

I have been VERY happy with my Palio. When I had a problem last year due to my own stupidity I emailed them and received a quick reply. I then sent my cutter back and received a replacement within a couple of weeks. All that it cost me was the cost of the postage.

I would suggest sending an email to info@paliocutter.com

Palios are the only cutters I use. Period. I've never had an issue with one and constantly use one for the past 6 years. I own several. If you take your cutter to any Palio dealer, I'm sure they will switch it out, I will reach out to one of the ones, Marc, and see if he can address this thread. No quarantines though, since I know he is on the road all the time.

Emailed them today so we shall see. I have high expectations because of the high regard their cutters are kept in the cigar community.
