Update:
Marc got back to me early this am telling me to ship the cutter in for replacement. I'm not surprised to hear back from Palio and blame the delay on poor timing on my cutters part, breaking before a holiday weekend.

I was just about to order one upon seeing this thread. Until now I've only heard great things.
The only issue that I have ever had with my Palio cutter was due to my own stupidity. I used it to trim up a cigar that had gotten tarred up and when I went to use it a week later the blades had stuck together. Instead of being smart and using some rubbing alcohol to clean it up properly, I grabbed the ends and tried to yank it apart. After tugging and tugging it finally broke loose but broke the internal piece that holds the two halves of the cutter together and I ended up with half of the cutter in each of my hands.

Even though this was completely my fault and was by no means a manufacturer's defect, Palio took care of it without a question. The mark of a good company is not that they have a warranty rather it is how they handle things when you need to use the warranty. This was not even close to a "tommy boy" situation where the warranty is just meant to be a marketing ploy. Marc was very responsive and went out of his way to make sure that my questions were answered and that I was 100% satisfied. If my cutter ever gets lost or stolen or I need a second one for whatever reason I would unquestioningly buy another Palio in a heartbeat, knowing that they have a high quality product and that they are willing to stand behind it.

Same here. This hasn't deterred me from buying Palio again if needed. It showed me their outstanding customer service and willingness to make things right without issues.
